Who we are

What Sidestat can access, and why

• The spreadsheet you have open (spreadsheets.currentonly). Sidestat reads the ranges you type or select, runs the analysis, and writes the result to a new sheet or to the range you choose. It cannot open any other file in your Google Drive.
• The sidebar (script.container.ui). This lets Sidestat show its panel inside Google Sheets.

What Sidestat stores

Nothing from your spreadsheet. The analysis runs, the result is written into your sheet, and nothing is kept afterwards. The one exception is an error message, described under How we protect your data.

If you buy Sidestat Pro, the licence key you enter is kept in your own Google account's storage for this add-on, so you do not have to type it again, and is checked with Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider. The key is the only thing sent. Your spreadsheet data is never sent anywhere.

Payments

Sidestat Pro is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details, email and billing address under its own privacy policy. We receive the order details Lemon Squeezy shares with sellers, such as your email and the licence, and use them only to provide and support your purchase.

Google user data

Sidestat's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell, share or transfer Google user data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI or machine learning models. No person at Maio Apps reads your spreadsheet data, apart from an error message as described below.

How we protect your data

• It stays on Google's platform. Sidestat runs entirely inside Google Apps Script. Your spreadsheet data is processed there, under Google's own security controls, and is never copied to a server of ours, because we do not run one.
• Encrypted in transit. Data moving between your browser and Google is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS). The licence key check with Lemon Squeezy also uses HTTPS only.
• Least privilege. Sidestat asks for the fewest permissions it can work with: the spreadsheet you have open, and the sidebar. The sidebar checks your licence key with Lemon Squeezy directly from your browser over HTTPS, and never sends spreadsheet data. Sidestat cannot see your other files, your email or your contacts.
• Your licence key stays in your account. It is kept in Apps Script user storage for this add-on, which only your Google account and the add-on can read.
• Error messages. Sidestat keeps no logs of its own. When an analysis fails, Google's Apps Script platform records the error message in the developer's execution log. Such a message can quote the single value that caused the error, for example a word in a column of numbers. Only Maio Apps can see this log, we use it only to fix errors, and Google deletes it automatically.
• Our own account. Access to the Sidestat project and its logs is limited to the developer's Google account.
• If something goes wrong. If we learn of a security incident that affects your data, we will tell affected users without undue delay.

What Sidestat never does

• It never reads a spreadsheet you have not opened it in.
• It never runs in the background. It acts only when you press OK.
• It contains no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts.

Deleting your data

Uninstall Sidestat from Extensions, Add-ons, Manage add-ons. Its results stay in your sheets, because they are ordinary cells you own. To remove a stored licence key, uninstall the add-on or email us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
